14th International Winter School on Microwave Electronics and Radiophysics

February 3–8, 2009

Devoted to the centenary of Saratov State University

First Announcement

Dear Colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the work of 14th International winter school on Microwave Electronics and Radiophysics.

The main topics of the School would be the following:

·        Theory and ways of progress of classic vacuum microwave devices (klystrons, all types of traveling- and backward-wave tubes, crossed fields devices, klystrods);

·        Methods of numerical simulation of electron microwave devices;

·        Microwave vacuum micro- and nanoelectronics;

·        Gyrotions, gyro-amplyfiers;

·        Relativistic and plasma electronics of high power;

·        Nonlinear dynamics and problems of microwave electronics and radiophysics;

·        Application of microwave devices in telecommunication systems, medicine, accelerative techniques, radars, security systems;

·        Magnetoelectronics;

·        From past to future: history of microwave electronics and radiophysics, current state and outlook to XXI century.

The program of the Conference would include the lectures ordered by the Scientific Committee as well as oral and poster reports of the School «students» on the scientific topics listed above.

The school will take place in Saratov in February, 3–8 2009 in a comfortable hotel «Volzhskye Dali» in picturesque surroundings near the Volga River.

The sums for the conference fee and forms for payment would be given in the Second Announcement.

By the beginning of the School work we plan to publish the conference proceedings. By the results of the School work we plan to publish special issues of the scientific journals «Izvestiya VUZ: Radiophysica (Radiophysics)» and «Izvestiya VUZ: Prikladnaya Nelineynaya Dinamika (Applied Nonlinear Dynamics)» where materials of selected lectures and talks would be published.

Everybody interested in participation of the School work must fill in an interactive form of the participant on the web-page http://nonlin.sgu.ru/conf/register.php?lang=ru before October, 15 2008. After filling an interactive form you can upload file with your abstract at any convenient time right up to November, 15 2008. You can download the template of abstract in Russian here, or the template in English here.
