9th International school on "Chaotic oscillations and pattern formation"
(CHAOS - 2010)

First Announcement

Dear Colleagues,
ĎFirst school on chaotic oscillations and pattern formation has been organized in Saratov on the base of Saratov Branch of the Institute of RadioEngineering and Electronics of Academy of Sciences of USSR (Saratov Branch of the Institute of RadioEngineering and Electronics of Russian Academy of Sciences, at present) together with Saratov State University in 1985. Then it has been repeated with three year interval and become traditional school in the system of exchange of information and education of young scientists. Its topics have been always connected with the problems of nonlinear dynamics, at that its emphasis has been shifted depending on the directions being acknowledged important on the moment of the school organization. So, first schools have concentrated their attention only on the deterministic systems, dynamical chaos theory, simple nonlinear objects and models of low dimension, applications in the field of radiophysics and electronics.
Planned 9th school is concentrated on the modern problems of nonlinear science including chaos theory and application of the methods of nonlinear dynamics for the analysis of living systems and in neurodynamics, as well as on the problems of chaotic synchronization and application of dynamical chaos as a new information carrier, on the theory of complex networks. At that, the traditional parts of nonlinear science, such as nonlinear oscillations and waves, appearance and formation of patterns and others are also saved.
The main topics of the 9th School will include the following:

  • Fundamental problems of nonlinear science
  • Distributed systems and ensembles of coupled elements with complicated dynamics
  • Synchronization
  • Influence of noise on the processes in nonlinear systems
  • Nonlinear dynamics of information technologies, environment and society
  • Nonlinear dynamics of electron-wave, magnetoelectronic and solid-state systems of microwave electronics and radiophysics as well as devices of optical range
At school young specialists, PHD students and students would take an opportunity to listen to a lectures and reports of leading scientists as well as to speak for them with poster and oral reports.
The school has had originally the status of all-USSR conference, but last years it has become an international one because of invited foreign specialists and young scientists have taken part in the its work.

Abstracts of lectures and reports

By the beginning of the School work we plan to publish the conference proceedings. By the results of the School work we plan to publish special issues of the scientific journals «Izvestiya VUZ: Prikladnaya Nelineynaya Dinamika (Applied Nonlinear Dynamics)» and «Izvestiya VUZ: Radiophysica (Radiophysics)» where materials of selected lectures and talks would be published. The abstract written in Russian or English language should have the length of one full page in the LaTeX format. Abstracts submitted in the other formats will be NOT PUBLISHED in the proceedings of the School.
Everybody interested in participation of the School work must fill an application form and send his abstract by e-mail of Organizing Committee chaos.conference.2010@gmail.com till September, 1st 2010.
